Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has expressed confidence that he can restore the lost glory of Nigeria.
Peseior stated that on Wednesday during his visit to Nigeria’s sports minister, Sunday Dare on Wednesday.
Recall that the Super Eagles will face Sierra Leone on Thursday in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Portuguese tactician is, however, confident he can help restore the team’s lost glory.
“I came here for one goal; I want to win the next AFCON for my fantastic players and for Nigerians. I am confident because I believe in this team, I believe in the quality and the number of good players. I have followed Nigeria’s history in football from 1994 and other successful teams and I want to bring back that joy again,” Peseiro said during his visit to Nigeria’s sports minister, Sunday Dare on Wednesday.
“Nigeria is top 5 when it comes to football in Africa. I want to say appreciate the minister and the Football Federation for this opportunity to lead the national team. I will work round the clock to ensure we achieve as much success as possible and the journey starts now”.
The Super Eagles will begin their quest for a place in Cote d’Ivoire 2023 with a home game against Sierra Leone on Thursday.
